Banos Familia

Dear All:

I thought it would be helpful for us to have a blog so that in addition to emailing, we may post messages here as well. Please use this site for whatever you wish: messages, pictures (especially of Lucy!) thoughts, recipies, requests, etc.

My hope is that with this site, we will be able to communicate with each other even more.

Please know that although I am up in Washington, I am thinking of you all, and hoping that things will be back to as normal as possible very soon.

Much love,
Sarah

What a wonderful idea, Sarah. And thanks to Becky for the e-mail addresses!

In case anyone would like to add Dan to the e-mail list, his e-mail is daniel.t.rinehart@dartmouth.edu.

The big news for us is that Dan accepted his offer from Bain for the Dallas office as of yesterday evening! We'll be heading down to Texas once he graduates in June. He's thrilled about the opportunity, and we can't wait to finally be closer to everyone. House hunting will begin in earnest in Dec/Jan, and we'll be looking for enough room for visitors!

Hope everyone is doing well despite having to leave once again. Take care and please let us know how everything goes.

-Betsy

Thanks for starting the blog Sarah. Great idea.
Betsy and Dan, congrats on the job. I can't wait to bring Lucy to visit you guys in Dallas.
Christian, Lucy, mom, pop, abbey and loki and I are all living under one roof in Thib right now. Christian's mom is also in town so you can imagine that we are on top of each other. Mom is ready to turn the dogs over to Kermit. Christian and I have a terrible commute every morning from Thib to Lafayette but it is easy knowing that Lucy is in the best hands possible. We are ready to get our lives back to normal but know that it will be a long time before that happens. I will post some pics of Lucy and the house whenever I get to a scanner.
Oh, there are 2 really cute black puppies in Thib. I think they came from ugly dog/dixie/regina.

Thanks Sarah for a great idea and a beautiful way to be in touch. Hopefully it will help "de-fragment" our very fragmented lives these days.
You all know how I'm not exactly a "country girl" so you might say a few prayers that I learn to settle into a slower pace of life, not be so afraid of lizards and snakes, and learn to love two big dogs always breathing on me or swatting me with their tails..they seem to always be on top of me.
Lucy's beautiful smile makes everything right with the world, especially when it doesn't feel so right at the moment. I also witnessed the most exquisite sunrise I've every seen on my bikeride this morning.
Maybe my plans are not always the best ones after all...
Congratulations Dan...it will definitely be nice to have you all closer to us!
