As you can see, Lucy is very serious about her afternoons watching the sugar cane harvest. It really is incredible out here at this time of year. I cannot wait see all of you over Thanksgiving.
Things in New Orleans seem to be improving. The EPA finally removed the 6 refrigerators that were in front of our house (yes, only one of those came out of our house) so all we have left is the hvac system and hot water heater that someone left on our lawn. I am not exactly sure how to get rid of that stuff.
Our basement is totally gutted and was inspected by a mold expert yesterday. In addition to the flood damage downstairs, it turns out we need a new roof too! I guess we will be lucky if we are back in our house for Lucy's first birthday.
Sacred Heart reopens on the 7th of November so Christian and I will be commuting together to New Orleans instead of Lafayette. It will be nice to be in the city and to be able to check on the progress at our house.
The best news of the week is that Christian, Richmond and I are going to watch the Saints play at Tiger stadium on sunday. Even though they will probably loose I am still psyched!
